Neil is my Best Man.
Originally from San Dimas California, his parents moved to California from Cape Breton (Nova Scotia) before he was born. After high school the Libbey clan returned to the land of their birth (or in Neil's case, the land of his parents birth). I think Neil was expecting New England, and ended up with Cape Breton.
I met Neil while we were both attending UCCB when I helped him with some computer stuff and he helped me with an election in which I was running. We became friends and remain so to this day.
After graduating from UCCB I traded places with Neil and moved to California while Neil continued to star in his own version of Newhart with various locals reprising the roles of Larry, Darryl and Darryl.
Neil is a teacher by trade in Cape Breton and and is in the process of renovating one of his rental properties. His interests include carpentry, woodworking, boating and historical research. He is working on a history of the Royal Cape Breton Yacht Club and was recently their guest speaker. I appreciate Neil accepting the responsibilities as best man and coming down early to help. He is a good friend.
